Jacket & Topside Structural Design

Structural design of fixed offshore platforms from FEED to fabrication drawings: jackets, wellhead and process decks, bridges, flare towers, helidecks and secondary steel, analysed for in-place, fatigue, seismic, transportation, launch and lift conditions to API RP 2A and ISO 19902, in SACS and Sesam. Delivered as engineering support to EPC contractors and as owner’s engineer for operators.

Engineering support model

Most jacket and topside scopes reach us from EPC and fabrication contractors who hold the client contract and need engineering hours at Indian rates with a single point of technical responsibility. We take a defined package — a wellhead platform, a bridge, a deck extension — and deliver it complete with drawings, MTO and the certifier submission, or we work inside the contractor’s model under their lead engineer.

Brownfield and secondary steel

Deck extensions, davit installations, skid foundations and riser clamps on producing platforms are the bulk of the work in mature basins. We engineered four 50-tonne davit installations on a vessel in Nigeria and riser and conductor supports across ONGC platforms, always from a survey of the existing structure.
