Transportation and installation (T&I)

Transportation and installation is the marine phase of an offshore project in which fabricated structures are loaded out, sea-fastened, transported and installed by lifting, launching or float-over, followed by hook-up. T&I engineering covers the analyses and procedures for each step and is reviewed by the marine warranty surveyor.

T&I engineering deliverables

Load-out analysis and ballast plan; transportation motion analysis; sea-fastening and grillage design; lift or launch analysis and rigging; installation aids (bumpers, guides, mating units); mooring and positioning; stability at each stage; method statements and the MWS submission package.
