I founded Kannamwar Engineering LLP with a simple belief — that the future of engineering lies at the intersection of deep expertise and digital innovation.

Our goal is to redefine how engineering is delivered — with agility, precision, and purpose. We bring together the best minds in Naval Architecture, Offshore, Structural, and Pipeline Engineering to provide end-to-end solutions, from concept and FEED to detailed design, fabrication, and lifecycle support.

About the Founder

Ameya Kannamwar is a Naval Architect, Offshore Engineer, and Entrepreneur with more than nine years of multidisciplinary experience spanning vessel conversions, FPSOs, subsea pipelines, and renewable energy projects across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and New Zealand.

An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, Ameya brings together a rare blend of technical depth and business leadership. Before founding Kannamwar Engineering LLP, he co-founded Oceanergy, scaling it from inception into a multimillion-dollar engineering firm serving clients like ONGC, IOCL, Halliburton, LTHE, Afcons, NIOT, and Saudi Aramco.

Previously, as Chief Operating Officer at ChefKart, he applied his operational and strategic expertise to drive 3× profitability, launch innovative products, and lead high-performing teams — showcasing his ability to combine engineering precision with entrepreneurial execution.

His entrepreneurial journey also extends beyond engineering — as the Founder of Greyn Lifestyle, a premium bamboo-cotton apparel brand that reflects his belief in purposeful design, sustainability, and enduring quality.

Professional Journey

• Over 250 multidisciplinary engineering projects delivered across vessel conversions, FPSO module integrations, and life-extension of offshore platforms.

• Directed FEED, detailed design, and project management for marine assets under DNV, IRS, BV, ABS  and other IACS classes.

• Expertise in offshore structural, mooring, riser, and pipeline engineering — from concept to commissioning.

• Successfully diversified into renewable and floating energy systems including floating solar and OTEC under India’s Deep Sea Mission.

• Strong leadership background in operations, strategy, and growth, mentoring teams and driving organizational scalability.

Awards & Recognition

• Elmer L. Hann Award (SNAME, USA) — First Indian recipient, for excellence in ship production engineering.
• Published Author — Research presented at SNAME, OMAE, and the Journal of Ocean Engineering. 

Beyond Engineering

Beyond work, Ameya is an avid runner, traveler, and motorcyclist, having completed several full marathons and bike expeditions across Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh. He channels the same focus, endurance, and curiosity into every professional endeavor.
